B.H. HOLT & SONS BUCKS RECESSION

B.H. Holt & Sons, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of used construction and plant equipment, announces today positive year end results with the company’s turnover growing by 10% - despite the recession gripping large parts of the construction industry.  The growth in sales has been linked to more customers looking for value for money in the products that they buy.  Rather than buying brand new plant machinery it appears that many customers are looking for more affordable, yet good quality used machines.  Mark Holt, Managing Director of BH Holt & Sons, comments; “We have had a really positive year despite the economic downturn.  Many of our customers are coming back as they feel they are getting a good deal and we are also seeing new customers contacting us when previously they may have bought new machines.”  The weak pound has also helped the company’s export business as international operators look to source plant and construction equipment in the UK.  Mark continues; “As well as operating across the UK, we work hard to source and deliver plant machinery across the world.  This service has protected our business at a time when the pound has been weak and has also opened new doors and opportunities further afield.”  B.H. Holt & Sons has been operating for nearly 25 years and has developed expertise in all range of used plant machinery, but have a particular specialism in Volvo construction equipment.
