B.H. HOLT & SONS BUCKS RECESSION
B.H. Holt & Sons, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of used construction and plant equipment, announces today positive year end results with the company’s turnover growing by 10% - despite the recession gripping large parts of the construction industry. The growth in sales has been linked to more customers looking for value for money in the products that they buy. Rather than buying brand new plant machinery it appears that many customers are looking for more affordable, yet good quality used machines. Mark Holt, Managing Director of BH Holt & Sons, comments; “We have had a really positive year despite the economic downturn. Many of our customers are coming back as they feel they are getting a good deal and we are also seeing new customers contacting us when previously they may have bought new machines.” The weak pound has also helped the company’s export business as international operators look to source plant and construction equipment in the UK. Mark continues; “As well as operating across the UK, we work hard to source and deliver plant machinery across the world. This service has protected our business at a time when the pound has been weak and has also opened new doors and opportunities further afield.” B.H. NEW “TRY BEFORE YOU BUY” SERVICE LAUNCHED
B.H. Holt & Sons, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of used construction and plant equipment, launches today a new “try before you buy” service which enables customers to trial any of the construction equipment in stock, before committing to purchase. On taking the plant equipment to their site, the customer enters into a pre-agreed rental agreement with B.H Holt & Sons. Should the company decide to go on and buy the equipment all rental fees would be refunded. The new service is an extension of the existing consultation and advice B.H. Holt & Sons offers new and existing customers. If customers have any questions about the equipment they have, need or the most effective machine for a particular job, they are encouraged to contact a member of the team for some no obligation advice. Mark Holt, managing director of B.H. Holt & Sons, comments; “We have always encouraged customers to contact us if they have any questions about plant machinery requirements. We have now introduced this service as we are so confident of our advice that we are letting customers take the equipment to trial it on the specific job.” B.H.
